This page explains the right of withdrawal from a distance contract as provided by the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law and Cabinet Regulation No. 255 of 20 May 2014 “Regulations Regarding Distance Contracts”. The right of withdrawal applies to consumers — natural persons purchasing goods for a purpose unrelated to their economic or professional activity.
Right of withdrawal
The consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day the goods are received. If the end of the period falls on an official public holiday, the right of withdrawal may be exercised until (and including) the following working day.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must inform us of the decision by an unequivocal statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an e-mail):

The consumer may use the model withdrawal form provided at the end of this page, but it is not obligatory.
The consumer must return the goods to the seller within 14 days of sending the withdrawal notice — by delivering them to the SIA “PRO 1 STAGE” pickup location at Mellužu iela 13-4, Riga (working hours Mon–Fri 9:00–17:00), or by sending them by post or via an Omniva parcel terminal to the address above.
Effects of withdrawal
The seller shall, no later than within 14 days from the day of receiving the withdrawal notice, refund the consumer the amount paid for the goods up to the moment of termination of the contract. The seller is entitled to withhold the refund until the consumer has returned the goods or has supplied evidence of having sent the goods back.
The seller also refunds the delivery costs, except for the supplementary costs resulting from the consumer's choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by the seller.
The direct cost of returning the goods is borne by the consumer.
The consumer is liable for any diminished value of the goods if they were used for purposes other than establishing their nature, characteristics and functioning. During the withdrawal period the goods may be examined only to the extent that would be possible in a physical store. The consumer is responsible for preserving the quality and safety of the goods during the withdrawal period, including keeping the original packaging, accessories and accompanying documents complete and undamaged.
When the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised
The consumer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal in the cases listed in paragraph 22 of Cabinet Regulation No. 255 “Regulations Regarding Distance Contracts”, including where:
- the goods are made to the consumer's specifications or are clearly personalised (for example, goods delivered or configured to individual order);
- the consumer has opened the packaging of goods which cannot be returned for health and hygiene reasons (for example, in-ear headphones);
- the consumer has opened the packaging of an audio recording, video recording or computer software;
- the price of the goods depends on financial market fluctuations that the seller cannot control and that may occur during the withdrawal period.
When receiving the goods, make sure the packaging is not damaged. If the packaging is visibly damaged at the moment of receipt — when receiving from a courier, record the damage in the acceptance document; when collecting from an Omniva parcel terminal, photograph the damage and notify us immediately (within 24 hours at the latest) at [email protected]. If packaging damage is not recorded at the moment of receipt, we will not be able to consider later claims regarding the packaging and the goods inside it.
